Oohh I hate having to start a blog with the sorries but sorry I am for running late this month. We heard that some of you were having difficulty accessing the blog here after a general update we applied, so Kyle’s been busy behind the scenes sorting out a fix, so I hope this post finds you all fit and well.

This month’s Rubber Stamp Giveaway is three brand new stamps from Barbara’s Bits of Ivory, 12 Days of Christmas Collection which was released a few weeks ago. The three stamps I’ve chosen for you are A Partridge In A Pear Tree, Eight Maids A Milking and the 12 Days Add-On Frame, Greeting, Bow and Holly Sprig all of which I think you’ll be able to use well beyond Christmas with a little addition of a flower to cover the Maid’s tiny holly sprig in her mop cap … hey this little maid would be fun for Easter too with some bunnies and colourful eggs scattered around her feet! It’s a busy and buzzing time here on the Isle of Mull with holiday makers enjoying cycle rides along our narrow single track roads, wildlife safari mini buses being driven to secret locations in search of sea eagles, otters and more, bird watchers braving the moors and mountains on their walking adventures and boat trips packed with excited passengers eager to catch a sighting of the dolphins and whales that frequent our 300 mile coastline (that’s an awful lot of miles for such a small island!).  At the moment the sun is shining, the seagulls are calling, the lawnmowers are humming and yet the summer holidays will soon be over for the schoolkids here on the island when their new term starts in a fortnight’s time. It won’t be long now before the extra long days and short nights we get here will be no more than memories and we turn up the heating and spend more time indoors keeping cosy and crafting in front of the fire!

This month’s Rubber Stamp Giveaway is three brand new stamps from my Christmas 2010 collection which will be released in a fortnight’s time, it’s the Giggles Gang up the woods getting ready for Christmas and features Charley with Holly (the labrador doggie), Emmy Kissing and Kyle Collecting the Tree.

I love the month of July with fresh picked Strawberries, flowering gardens, Wimbledon and Long Lazy Days and yet all too often in the crafting world the summer fun seems to get over shadowed by new products for Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas and I’m up to my eyes in some fabby Christmas artwork for you at the moment, all due  for release next month, however I was delighted to have a little summery project on the go and the opportunity to work on Sam Salt’s delightful ‘Summer Circles’ designs.
