A walk in the woods
Puddles
of sunlight
under the trees,
The swish of your boots as
You jump in the leaves.
Rusty squirrels go scurrying
Way up high
Stowing provisions as
Winter is nigh.
The colours are changing,
The swallows have gone
Now Nature is painting the world
For Autumn. Autumn Colours
Warm summer breezes blow no more,
A light wind chills the air.
As I stand and look around me
I see such beauty there.
Dear Nature's Autumn palette
Is the richest of them all -
As foliage turns from green to brown
And frail leaves start to fall,
With hues of yellow, purple, green,
Orange rust and bluish-grey,
All lit by golden rays of light,
They brighten up my day.
